Summer Camps for Families 2010

Summertime can be busy with summer school, sports and family vacations.  Our hope is that this summer will be one of spiritual growth for children, adults and families. St. Luke’s staff and servant ministers are excited about all the possibilities this summer holds for our families. Vacation Bible School - High Seas Adventure - Exploring the Mighty Love of God
Feel sea spray on your face as sails snap overhead - and you and your crew experience the deep, rolling waters of God's love!
Ages: 4 years -entering 6th grade
Dates: June 21st - 25th (Morning: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon) and June 20th - 24th (Evening session 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.)
Cost: $30.00

S.W.E.A.T- Summer Workout and Exercise Activity Time for Preschoolers
Grab your gym bag and join us for a game. Your child will discover how to live a healthy lifestyle and how we serve God through staying healthy. We will teach your child about fitness, flexibility and good nutrition, all while having fun. Only healthy snacks are provided.
Ages: 4 and 5
Dates: July 12th – 16th
Times: 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
Cost: $30.00

Kingdom Camp 2010 - Galactic Blast - A Cosmic Adventure Praising God
At Galactic Blast, your cadets will voyage into outer space praising God. Through daily missions, your kids will see space like never before, gain a new perspective on our planet Earth, and learn easy “green” earth tips they can practice at home.

Ages: entering 1st grade - entering 6th grade
Dates: Weeks of July 19th and July 26th
Times: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Cost: $75.00 (An extended day option available for working parents starting at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 5:30 p.m. for an additional $55.00, limited number of spots.)

Warren W. Willis United Methodist Summer Camp-Leesburg, FL
Warren W. Willis Camp is overseen by the Florida United Methodist Camp and Retreat Ministries. Its mission is to help campers better understand their role as members of the faith and disciples of Jesus Christ. It provides summer camps for school-aged children and youth. Please refer to the website at www.umsummercamp.org for more information.  Registration starts December 1, 2009.  Please refer to the camp website for cost and scholarship information. 

Ages: entering 4th grade and up
Dates: There are nine weeks of classic camps offered for campers going into the 4th grade in the fall of 2010 through campers going into the 12th grade in the fall of 2010. (The 1st week starts on June 7th and the last week of camps starts on August 2nd). Each week begins on a Monday and ends on Saturday.   You are welcome to choose any week, however, St. Luke’s UMC will be have staff and many students/children will be attending the week of July 5th.

Registrations for all Summer programs start at 10:00 a.m. on March 1, 2010 for Servant Ministers who are making a commitment to serve at one of our camps and all others at 12:00 noon on April 6, 2010.
