St. Luke's Citrus Harvest
St. Luke’s coordinates this service opportunity with the Society of St. Andrew. Citrus is gathered from groves and backyards and given to hunger organizations. The Citrus Harvest, or otherwise known as Backyard Bounty is an annual event held in January.
This mission is for all ages. Bring your friends and family to the church between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. to get your picking assignment and work for as long as you are able. Volunteers are encouraged to wear long sleeves and gloves. It is helpful to have ladders and/or a truck but they are not necessary. We also need people to help with logistics between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Please contact Mariam at 407-876-4991 ext. 221 if you are planning to participate or are able to help the whole day.
