St. Luke's Holiday Bazaar - Celebrating 27 years - Saturday, November 7, 2009 – this event began in 1980 as a small craft show and sale but has grown into a wonderful extravaganza featuring the talents and hard work of St. Luke’s women and community friends. Kid's Corner at the UMW Bazaar - Children are loved and welcome at the bazaar. We have a special shop for them this year, sponsored by MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers). This shop is for children to buy for their parents, gradparents, teachers, etc. The theme of this shop is The Polar Express, complete with elves to help little ones. The shop is open to ages 3 to 10 so... NO adults allowed. All items will be $1 to $10. The figts will be wrapped for the children and they will be returned to their parents waiting outside the shop. And right across this shop is Santa who has a treat for each child and a digital photo opportunity.
Fall Dinner With A Flair - Be sure to get your tieckts to this fabulous dinner after all services in the Welcome Hall in Building C. They are going fast! No tickets sold at the door. Cost is $15 for adults, $10 for children 10 and under. Sale ends October 18th. Proceeds go to missions.
Crafters - Last few weeks before the Holiday Bazaar. Come Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall A. Tuesday crafts will be going for only 3 more weeks starting at 9:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall A. New people are always welcome.
Where the UMW Money Goes - The 2008 Bazaar proceeds supported the following international missions: St. Garabed Armenian Church, Jamaica Mission Partner - Lauriston Health Clinic, and East Angola United Methodist Church. |
