Do I have to know about cheerleading to volunteer?
No, as in all UPWARD programs a coaches book which spells out a minute-by-minute coaching routine is given to all coaches. In the book each week's scripture lesson, how-to guides on cheer moves, etc are all included.

How are the age groups divided?
Currently, we plan to follow the age group breakdowns or league splits we have in basketball. For example, if we get enough cheerleaders, then 1st and 2nd grade cheerleaders would cheer at 1st and 2nd grade games.

Is there an evaluation I have to attend like in Basketball and Soccer?
There is not a skills evaluation, however each child must attend one of the evaluation days so they can be sized properly for the uniform. Currently this will occur on November 16th and 20th, 2004. Times TBA.

Can I be in both cheerleading and basketball?
Since the same age groups will be cheering at the same time their age group is playing basketball this would not be possible.
