Debbie Shellhorn is the Director of the Child Development Center, which is part of the Reach ministry team. She oversees the Parent's Day Out Program, which is for children between the ages of 8-35 months and the Pre-school Program, which is for children between the ages of 3 and 5. These programs operate on the Orange County school calendar, with the Parent's Day Out program continuing through the month of June. This is state licensed facility. She administers all policies as they relate to the day-to-day operation of CDC. She is responsible to the St. Luke's CDC Committee which governs the programs and continues to be an advocate for every child.

Debbie holds a B.S. degree in Education from Indiana State University. She has a current Florida teaching license and has completed the Florida Child Care and Education Program Director Credential, Level II Renewal certificate.

Debbie came to St. Luke's in August of 1989. Prior to coming to St. Luke’s, she was the Administer for the Disney, Kinder Care Children’s Center. In Pinellas County, she was the Pre-school Director for the Pinellas Association for Handicapped Children.
