St. Luke's POWERHOUSE Family Worship Experience
PowerHouse is our intergenerational worship experience geared specifically towards elementary-aged children and their families that meets the first Sunday of each month at 11am in the Coleman Gymnasium. The service is chock full of “electrifying” worship, between 30-40 minutes in length, which includes music, a short message, prayer stations, and Holy Communion. The music is led by PowerSurge, our praise group for middle and high school students.
PowerHouse is a monthly Sunday morning service in the Coleman Memorial Gymnasium at 11:00 a.m on the first Sunday of the month.

Check out each character trait we will highlight during our Family Worship Service, PowerHouse the first Sunday of each month at 11:00am in the Coleman Gym. (Please note that our January PowerHouse will meet on January 8th, 2012).

PowerHouse and PJ's was awesome! We continued with the theme "Change Starts with Me" and Pastor Beth introduced the word of the month- Caring. We also introduced our families to one of our partner ministries, Coalition for the Homeless which serves families in Orange County who are homeless. We asked families to bring in new pajamas for 95 of the children that they serve to show how we can care for others. To keep with the theme we all got to wear our PJ's too! We LOVE being part of this community wide effort We also were blessed during the Worship service with the beautiful voices of our WeeSingers.

Special Guest visits PowerHouse

In December we celebrated the love of the season from a unique perspective, a donkey. Our special guest, a live donkey shared the story of his great, great, great, great, great grandfather and the love and responsibility he had as he carried Mary on her journey to Bethlehem. The message tied nicely with the Character Development program CHANGE STARTS WITH ME (changestartswithme.org) we are participating in with all of our Orange County Public Schools and the community.

Each month inside we gather at the table and share communion - which is way of reminding ourselves Jesus gave himself to us out of love for us, but also love for the world.
