A Note from the St. Luke’s Staff-November 21, 2018

To Our Dear St. Luke’s Family,

“Every time you cross my mind, I break out in exclamations of thanks to God. Each exclamation is a trigger to prayer. I find myself praying for you with a glad heart. I am so pleased that you have continued on in this with us, believing and proclaiming God’s Message, from the day you heard it right up to the present. There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears.” Philippians 1: 6-8 from The Message

As we gather at our tables with family, friends, or for many of you, coworkers on this Thanksgiving Day, your St. Luke’s staff wanted each of you to know how grateful we are to be able to work alongside you in ministry. It is a gift to be called by God to be in ministry at a church as blessed with vision, talent, resources, and passion such as St. Luke’s. But when we say church, we don’t mean the buildings (which are quite wonderful) we mean YOU, the church!  Each of you who proudly wears the moniker of St. Luke’s helps to create a living, breathing church alive in our community and world. We pray you recognize not only the blessings of family and friends but the blessing God has given us all by starting this great work of the gospel within all of us, bringing us together for just such a time as this, in this community to do some profound work of the Kingdom!

Thank you for your generosity of resources, time, passion, and spirit which helps to make the ministry of our church so powerful. Each of us asks for a blessing of God’s grace for each of you, giving thanks we have been chosen to be a part of God’s work among you, with you and for you. May your day be filled with grace, laughter, and love no matter where you find yourself.

Happy Thanksgiving and we will see you Sunday in worship!

Grace and Peace,

Your St. Luke’s Staff
