We Claim and Affirm Christ-Centered |
Acceptance: We recognize that Christ's love has no boundaries.
Hospitality: We welcome all to share Christ's love through help, hope, and healing.
Community: We claim a sacred place where Christ's love unites all to support and care for others while nurturing a personal relationship with God.
Discipleship: We believe we are called to be living representatives of Jesus Christ and bring others to know God's mercy, justice, grace, and love.
Service: We respond to Christ’s Love and God's call, by sharing our time, talents, tithes, spiritual gifts, and resources.

Vision: That the believers of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church will reach as many people as possible in Central Florida introducing them to eternal life in Jesus Christ. Together we will nurture and guide our growth as disciples, to be deployed in servant ministry to build the Kingdom of God.

Our Mission |

Reaching People |
St. Luke’s will utilize a multi-focus approach in evangelism to reach as many people as possible. This will include, but not be limited to, personal invitation, media advertising, community welcome through facility use, ministries targeted for not yet believers, special events, and alternative options for worship. |

Proclaiming Eternal Life in Jesus Christ |
St. Luke’s will proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and convey the scriptural truth that eternal life begins the moment a person accepts God’s grace in response to the saving love of Jesus. We affirm that at this moment there begins a life-long journey toward scriptural holiness of heart and life. |

Nurturing & Guiding Growth in Discipleship |
St. Luke’s will provide opportunities for worship and spiritual growth that will help develop mature disciples of Jesus Christ. Through large and small group ministries for children, youth, and adults, the church will offer a wide-range of options for faith and personal development. These ministries will encompass the total person: body, mind, and spirit. |

Deploying Servant Ministers in the World |
St. Luke’s success in Kingdom building will be measured by the extent to which gifted, committed, and enthusiastic disciples of Jesus Christ are deployed as his servant ministers in faithful obedience to God’s will, while witnessing to God’s mercy, justice, and love. |

| Disciples (Discipleship) |
| We maintain that the marks of discipleship include: those who proclaim the good news of what God has done in Jesus Christ, who live according to the example of Christ, are committed to creating communities which surround others with love and forgiveness, are committed to growth in their trust of God, and who are in faithful service to others. As those who assemble together at St. Luke’s UMC, we pledge to support the ministries of the church through our prayers, our presence, our gifts, and our service. |
The Kingdom of God
The Kingdom of God is the will of God realized in heaven and on earth. Jesus once said that the Kingdom of God is within us, which means at least in part that the opportunity to be participants in its glorious fulfillment is ever present. The Kingdom is God’s gift to us; the claiming of it and the establishing of it in place to place are our gifts to God. The vision to see the Kingdom and the power to make it a reality on earth and in our relationships come from the teaching of Jesus and the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.
