St. Luke's Membership Class

Some changes are coming to our New Members Class and there will be no November/December class offered this year. Check back for updates as to when our new New Members Class begins.

Learn More About St. Luke's by attending the New Members Pathways Class. Get a sampling of Methodist History , theology, social principles and more. Learn about your own unique spiritual gifts, personal style, and mission for life. Learn how to get plugged into a ministry at St. Luke's that fits your gifts and style, and gives you a direct connection with other St. Luke's friends. Discover the myriad of small group offerings - from Sunday Bible study and growth groups to week day indepth disciple groups, Women's or Men's groups, and support groups. Contact Rev. The next New Members Class starts the First Sunday of February.

Each first class begins with an event called "Brownies With Bill" which is a dessery Social held at 7:00 p.m. on the designated Sunday (see above) in the Fellowship Hall. This event gives the visitor a chance to learn more about the church and meet the Senior Pastor, Dr. Bill Barnes.

Classes run for six more weeks after the Dessert Social and are held at both 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Sundays. The topic order typically is:

• Week 1: "Brownies with Bill"
• Week 2: History of the Methodist Church
• Week 3: Social Principles
• Week 4: Stewardship/BodyBuilding & Tour of the Buildings
• Week 5: Kingdom Building 1
• Week 6: Kingdom Building 2
• Week 7: Kingdom Building 3
• Week 8: New Member Sunday (Join the church)

On the last Sunday of each of these cycles, class members join the church at 11:00 a.m. and/or 5:30 p.m. The New Member Luncheon follows the 11:00 a.m. service in the Rotunda, Buliding C.
