40-Day Fast – Participate in the 40-Day Fast. Participants will be scheduled to Fast and Pray at least one day during a 40-day period beginning October 10th and ending November 18th this year.
The purpose of the fast is concentrated, dedicated intention towards three elements of the BodyBuilding Campaign: first, we pray that 100% of those making up the membership, staff, and regular attendees of St Luke’s pray about the invitation to commit financial resources to St. Luke’s BodyBuilding; and, second, we pray that 100% of those invited will actually respond to the invitation by expressing their commitment on Commitment Sunday, November 20th.
A third (and encompassing) prayer is intended: this being that, in all things involving this campaign, God will be present and active in those who choose to participate in this campaign in any way.
Prayer Vigil – Participate in the Prayer Vigil to be held on November 19th. This will be held in the Prayer Chapel in Building C – time to be announced. The focus for prayer during this vigil is that 100% of members, staff, and regular attendees of St. Luke’s will make a prayerful commitment to St. Luke’s BodyBuilding.
You may also participate from the comfort of your own space. Please, join us in the vigil by letting us know of your commitment and your scheduled time to pray.
Be an Active Prayer- From now through Commitment Sunday November 20th and beyond, your prayers are wanted and needed as we strive to cooperate with God’s will.
This part of the campaign ministry is dedicated to prayer, active prayer. We want to enlist those who desire to experience the blessings of God through the experience of active and deliberate praying. Please, join us.
Help with Prayer Events– We will use the energy and time of those willing to serve as volunteers for Enlistment and Distribution. We need people who can attend to the BodyBuilding Prayer Team Desk at Sunday Morning Services. We expect to have several volunteers in order to ease the burden of commitment. Volunteers will share information about Prayer Events and Opportunities and register participants.
Volunteers may also attend the Prayer Events, offering information, passing out prayer guides to event participants, as well as participating in the events themselves. All are welcome to join us.
