On Monday, October 17 the circle drive will be completely blocked off for entrance into Buildings A, B, Fellowship Hall and Sanctuary to allow a sewer pipe to be run from Founders Hall to the existing pipeline. Because of this construction element you will have to enter these buildings from the A side parking lot. If you need access to any of these buildings, you may choose to park in either the Building A parking lot (has limited parking) or the lot behind the gym and walk around the construction fence. We know this is an inconvenience and thank you in advance for your patience during this very important step in the construction process. This project should take no more than a week and we should have normal access by end of day on Friday, October 21.
Also on Monday, we will begin to see a lot of activity at the build site as the concrete contractors begin to pour the walls for Founder’s Hall. Click here to see what’s coming up this month at the construction site.
Once the pour has been completed the walls will need to cure for 7 to 10 days. Then, beginning the week of October 24, the walls will begin to be lifted into place by a crane. This will be exciting to watch and we encourage you to stop by and take in the excitement through the picture window in Building C. This “raising of the wall” will take about 3 days and then the contractors will begin to set the interior columns and portions of the roof. This will make the building really begin to take shape. Thank you for your continued support and your gifts to the Commit Campaign. We continue to make progress because of your contributions and commitment. Remember, if you have not been a part of the Commit Campaign you still have time.
