RECREATION MINISTRIES DIRECTOR

St. Luke's is seeking a PT (24 hours per week) Recreational Ministries Director – The Director will Collaborate with the Recreation and Wellness Leadership and its ministry teams to plan, organize and direct opportunities or training experiences designed to promote the Christian ethic and spiritual development, through recreation and wellness programming, among the children, youth and adults of southwest Orange County and our congregation.

A qualified candidate must have three years of related experience and/or training; prior management experience including leading and training staff and/or volunteers. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

COORDINATOR PRAISE TEAM MINISTRIES

St. Luke's is seeking a Part Time 15 hour per week – Coordinator to plan, organize and direct the Praise Team Ministry of HopeSpring Campus of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. The Coordinator will promote opportunities for adult Christian discipleship and lay leadership development, through a variety of contemporary worship music. This position works collaboratively with our Pastors/Mission Essential Leaders, Director of Praise Teams, Director of Emerging Arts, and other ministry areas. The Coordinator will provide staff support for the development and implementation of new ministries and provide counsel and expertise to the Praise Team and its ministry teams.

To be considered the candidate must minimally have the ability to implement current ministries and services that are already in place as well as the knowledge and vision to grow new ministries to reach out in the community. Experience as a worship leader and the ability to share expertise in this area is necessary. Experience building and leading a team including band, vocalists, choirs and ensembles is also necessary. Experience in playing keyboard and/or musical instruments desired. Computer skills are necessary. The candidate must have a strong commitment to Christian Faith and theology of the United Methodist Church, be a multi-tasking team player with a positive attitude, high energy and strong interpersonal skills and exhibit flexibility and adaptability.
