A Wake-Up Call
Most people use repetitive buzzes; some rely on loud music; others prefer nature sounds, and a few count on internal biological clocks. Whatever system one chooses, the intent is the same- to wake up!
Once an individual is conscious, the feet hit the floor, and the day begins. Morning routines vary, but at some point, a groggy body reaches for a beverage, and a modern miracle occurs! Soon alert and ready for action, people hit their arena of responsibility, ready to go!
St. Luke's is no different. Through a variety of means, people get fired up. A sermon, a song, a prayer, or a hug and a handshake; these inspire and touch us, propelling us into action.
Now the dilemma arises. Where is the best place for us to serve? How do we know where we are needed, and how we can make a difference? How do we sign up?
A new group is brewing at St. Luke's. Called LATTE, it stands for ‘Lay Activation Team: Totally Engaged.’ Its function, just like a morning cup of coffee is to get people moving. Active and involved St. Luke’s people know it's tough to beat the joy of finding themselves in the middle of God's will, learning, growing, and serving!
LATTE's purpose is to help people wake up according to their personal style and connect - to each other, to service, and to God.
Be a part of this exciting new ministry! Our meetings are the second Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in room C-210. LATTE cups can surely runneth over! For more information, call Joline Krolicki at 407-876-4991, ext. 264.
