A Message from Pastor Gary

We’re gaining ground with our “The Race of Your Life” stewardship series. Our messages on Sunday mornings affirm that we are already in the race and, as the Apostle Paul encourages us, “let’s keep focused on the goal…” (Phil. 3:15 Message).

What is our goal? Ultimately, to be like Christ and to do the things that Jesus did. Jesus came proclaiming that the Kingdom of God is near. He wanted people to know that God’s love, grace, and leadership in the world are a present reality and not something we have to wait for down the line. So we run, not so much “toward” a finish line out there somewhere, but “with” this incredible God who calls us to share in his kingdom work. This is what stewardship is ultimately about—partnering with God. Being a steward (or manager) of all that God has shared with us—time, ability, money, love—so that through us the central message of the gospel--“the kingdom of God is near”—gets repeated over and over again through our words and actions. People will hear the message, get in the race, and run alongside us—but most importantly—alongside of God in a journey that extends through eternity! Keep running! Don’t get distracted! Trust God! Focus…focus…focus!

Blessings:
Gary
