Hi saints! Each week our sermons in all worship services will be built upon the scriptures and themes of the successive chapters of the study book. Gary and I will begin the series this coming Sunday with The Miracle of Good News. Moore begins Chapter 1 of the study telling the story of a little boy named Joey, who in a moment of stage fright in the Christmas play couldn’t remember the correct the line for the angel he was portraying and instead of saying “Behold, I bring you glad tidings of great joy!” he blurted out, “Boy, oh boy, do I have good news for you!” Well, that’s what we are going to be thinking about on this first Sunday of Advent, the “boy oh boy” good news of nativity. Not only will we be looking forward to seeing you here amid the beautiful decorations around the church, we will be hoping that your preparations for Christmas will include reading the study and claiming you own personal Oh boy! And if you have not yet turned in your Race of Life pledge card, please do so as soon as you can. We have received 530 pledges totaling $2,158,000. See you on Sunday! Bill |
