A Message from Pastor Bill

Dear Saints,
Throughout Advent our theme has been "The Miracle of Christmas," and I suppose if you have found the time to read this message in the midst of these final frenetic days before Christmas, THAT is a pretty big miracle in itself! This is simply my sincere invitation for you to join us for worship on Christmas Preeve or Christmas Eve, as well as on Sunday morning the 24th. My message for Preeve and Eve is "The Miracle that Amazes," and I will be preaching at all of the Candlelight services on those days. The Children's Nativity Pageant is a half hour of organized chaos beginning at 4:00 PM on the 24th, and is geared especially for our preschoolers and younger elementary kids. The Christmas midnite service of Holy Communion will be led by Beth Farabee-Puckett. We do not advertise the Preeve services on the 23rd to the community, since we ask that our members worship then in order to open seats for our guests on the 24th. The complete schedule follows:

Saturday, December 23rd Christmas Preeve
St. Luke’s Family Candlelight Worship
6:00 p.m. With Music by the Contemporary Worship Praise Team
7:15 p.m. With Music by St. Luke’s Sanctuary Choir

Sermon: The Miracle of Giving– Matthew 1:18-25
8:00, 9:30 & 11:00 a.m. Worship in the Sanctuary
The Rev. Gary Shockely

4:00 p.m. Children’s Participation Nativity Pageant
All children are invited to dress up as their favorite character from the Nativity story and bring their parents for an audience participation nativity pageant like no other.
