Dear Saints, 2007 is off to an amazing start! If you have been having trouble settling into a worship attendance routine since Christmas, here is what you have been missing: Some great messages inspired by popular TV shows. We are using the theme, “Primetime Preaches.” All of this in only the first three weeks! This week, as a result of your commitment and generosity through the BodyBuilding campaign, HopeSpring Church, our daughter congregation, will hold its first Preview Service of worship at Thornebrooke Elementary School off of Maguire Road. The Rev. Gary Shockley, Lead Pastor, will be welcoming any and all who want to share in the high calling of building and nurturing a new congregation. And at worship on the St. Luke’s campus, we will be exploring the Biblical themes that lend themselves as reflections on “Ugly Betty,” one of the Golden Globe recognized new primetime hits of the season. Be sure to visit our website to check on what is coming up, places to grow and serve, and to listen to archived messages under the “Virtual Worship” tab. I love the fact that you can worship “virtually,” but I’d love to see you “personally!” How about this week? With faith, hope, and love, Bill |
