A Message from Pastor Jenn

Howdy Pardners –

God is Real... Wahoo!!
Have you been around St. Luke’s this week? If you have been, you have probably heard this phrase shouted by hundreds of children all around our campus.

This is our tag line for the children who are participating in Avalanche Ranch Vacation Bible School. Our kids are learning about the very real love and grace of the God we worship and serve.

Vacation Bible School is not just a wonderful teaching tool for our children, it’s is also an amazing opportunity to reach our community with the love of God and help a family find a church they can call home. This week there are well over 100 children in attendance who do not claim a home church. This is our chance to help some of our neighbors see who we are and find a place of hospitality and welcome. To end our week together, we are having a fantastic VBS Celebration Service this Sunday during the 9:30 contemporary service in the gym.

The children will help lead music, participate in skits, and the congregation will participate in a very special prayer time. This worship service will be a great chance for families to come and see what St. Luke’s is all about and a great chance for you, our members, to welcome them with open arms.

During the morning traditional services and the 5:30 contemporary service (which will be held in the sanctuary), we will continue with our Summer Theme: Preparing for the Trip of your Life. This week as we unpack loneliness, we will participate in a special healing service as we seek to become people who pack gentleness for others during the journey of life.

What a great Sunday – something for everyone. See you there at the place where there are signs everywhere that God is Definitely Real…Wahooo!!

Grace and Peace –
Jenn
