A Note from Pastor Jenn
Dear family in faith,
Bill is away with our Jamaica medical team this week. They have had an amazing week so far. On Sunday they were able to be a part of the dedication service for the new medical building we helped to support with our 70 in 07 campaign! What a celebration this must have been. Bill will tell you more when he gets back!
This past Sunday was my first experience with the congregation at our HopeSpring campus. It was a gift to be a part of the excitement and community one feels as they step into Bridgewater Middle School on a Sunday morning. As we gathered at the communion table during worship, it was a blessing to serve faces I knew and faces I was meeting for the first time. As the scripture on Sunday so powerfully reminded us, we have been empowered to lead and carry the vision for God's people to be drawn out of the exile they may find themselves in and to be redefined as a community based on God's incredible love. Moses passed this empowered leadership on to the judges, Jesus to the apostles, John Wesley to class leaders, and now we are called to take on this leadership role for our community. This isn't just the work of the HopeSpring congregation, it is a job for all of us!
In fact, this Saturday is a great way to be empowered as leaders of God's vision. As you purchase your valentines for your significant other and your family, look around you. Who in your life – neighborhood, workplace, family, small group - may not receive a valentine this year? Who do you know who might be feeling exiled or alone on this holiday? Could you take a little extra time to let them know YOU care on behalf of God's love? Imagine if through our two campuses, each of us would think of one other person to share a special valentine with... imagine the web of love that would be shared on behalf of God!
Now, a note about this Sunday. This week we will explore the idea of enduring leadership. Based on Paul's words from 1 Corinthians 3:1-11, we are offered a chance to look at what it is about our ministry and our servanthood that really allows for its endurance. Is it something WE do all on our own, or is there something greater we have to put our trust in which creates growth in disciples and growth in the Kingdom of God? Join us for worship on Sunday as we give thanks to the real Giver of growth!
Grace and Peace

HopeSpring Update
These next few months are both exciting and busy for the HopeSpring Campus! With the transition of leadership and moving into the new Shoppes at Lake Butler very soon, there is a lot to do! The HopeSpring Development Team is a group of lay leaders who are working diligently to carry the congregation through the transition and to begin to make decisions about how ministry is formed and shaped for the community they serve. Led by Jim Dobson, this team is made up of lay people who also serve on each of our elected committees. They have an incredible task before them and not only do we applaud them but ask for you to pray for them each week! In order to keep everyone informed about this exciting ministry, we will use this space each week to keep you up to date with all the latest exciting news! This will also offer everyone a chance to find ways to support this amazing endeavor God has offered us as a community of faith.
