It is with great pleasure that we announce the promotion of Amy Winslow as our new Director of Adult Ministries. Amy brings many of the gifts needed in this area associated with development, organization, training and of course, relationship building. Over the next several weeks she will have her feet in two ministry areas as she transitions out of her Administrator for Worship role and into the Grow Ministry area.
We also welcome Luky Nova as our new Administrator for Grow Ministries. Luky is a current member of St. Luke’s and has been involved in many areas including a current Disciple I participant. She is involved in the Cuba missions area, homeless shelter ministry, and has been a volunteer in the church office. It was actually during her front desk volunteer time that her administrative skills were discovered.
Congratulations to Adam Hartnett who recently transitioned from Associate Director of Neighborhood Ministries to Director of Neighborhood Ministries! As the ministry in East Winter Garden has grown so have the oversight responsibilities. Adam’s main role is to be the liaison between St. Luke’s and EWG. He maintains a positive relationship with community organizations serving there, works with volunteer leaders, and now oversees our Circles staff. Adam started working at St. Luke’s as an intern the summer of 2012 while he was still a student at Florida State University. He returned the to do his Master of Social Work internship and was then hired as an Associate Director. Adam has thrived in this community work and we are thrilled with his promotion. The Director of Neighborhood Ministries position is part of the Community Transformation initiative in East Winter Garden. The salary for this position is supported by generous gifts to the Commit campaign.
Congratulations to Peggy Caverly who is now the full-time Administrator for Serve Ministries. Peggy has been on staff for over 18 years serving as the Financial Assistant for the School of the Arts. Peggy has a big heart for this church and incredible organizational and financial skills. Her main responsibilities will include: volunteer management and communication, expenditure requests, mission logistics, and database oversight. It is very exciting to finally have this position filled again.
