Dear St. Luker’s

During the recent storms I received a facebook message from someone who has been in our summer cast over the last few years. It was a very simple note that simply said: I love you so much!! Be safe Jenn.

Honestly, I didn’t see it until a few days after the storm because my phone was having a hard time keeping up, but the day I received it was exactly the day I needed it. It was a reminder on a difficult day that what we do matters and God is connecting us and
watching over us through people all of the time.

For me that was a sweet spot moment. A moment when I realized that because of a ministry of St. Luke’s, we have reached someone we might not ever had met, I had a relationship with an amazing new friend, and God had created community between us where love and
grace is shared. That’s why we do what we do, in order to be God’s church.

This Sunday, we are going to ask you when you have experienced the “sweet spot” of the Kingdom of God through a ministry at St. Luke’s. Maybe it’s during worship, or a concert event. Maybe when you were volunteering in the community or with a group on campus.
Maybe it happened when you were a part of a small group or a cluster group. It’s the moment when you realized “that’s why we do what we do here at St. Luke’s!”
Pray about those moments and come on Sunday to help us write the message with YOUR stories.
Help us discover what “the best is” here and how God is using us to create Kingdom of God moments!
