A Note from Pastor Jad-October 13, 2022

Grace and Peace Beloved St. Lukers,

We’ve weathered the storm, and in true St. Luke’s fashion St. Lukers continue to show up, rallying amazing support for those in need. We couldn’t be more proud of how you have practiced our core values of Christ-centered Community, Discipleship, and Service.

As I write this, I’m thinking…“Fall is in the air!” But for the last few days it has felt more like, “Summer is around the corner.” Whatever the cliché, fall is here! Kids are playing soccer at St. Luke’s, high school and college football games are happening on Fridays and Saturdays, AND it’s pumpkin everything! Have you seen this funny meme? It makes me laugh every time!

This Saturday, we will be bearing witness to the grace and love of Jesus Christ and our Core Values of Acceptance, Hospitality, and Community at Come Out with Pride Orlando. St. Luke’s will have a booth at the Marketplace, and we will be in the Parade! If you would like to walk with us in the Parade, we still need a few more people – click here to sign up for a spot! If you’re attending the event, make sure to stop by our booth and say hello, we would love to see your faces.

We’ve been in Luke 16 all this week, and on Sunday in worship we are thinking about how Jesus ReDefines money, relationships, and our relationships with money. It’s going to be a powerful morning and I hope to see you there at either 9:30 or 11:15 a.m. on campus or online.

Then on Wednesday, October 19, we want to invite you to our Fall Family Fun Night from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.! There will be activities and entertainment for everyone, like pumpkin painting, yard games, food, and live music from gifted and talented St. Lukers in the Children’s Choir and Youth Band. We will also be collecting more items for our continued hurricane response (canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned beans, canned chicken, canned tuna, rice, pasta, pasta sauce, peanut butter, jelly, baby wipes, diapers, Pull-Ups, and menstrual hygiene products). It’s going to be a fun, chill evening with something for everyone. Click here to RSVP, and I hope you can join us.

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Jad
