Dear St. Luke’s COMMUNITY,

We are on the Core Value of Community this week and already we have been practicing this superpower both on campus and off.

Our Missions team has been working on Capitol Hill with Bread for the World talking to legislators about food insecurity across our nation and raising awareness about our neighbors here in Florida facing hunger.

Your clergy spent the early hours of June 12th, from 2am to 5am, at the Pulse Nightclub site, offering prayers and a listening ear to our neighbors. It is incredible how many people we speak with who come during those quiet hours, still seeking to make sense of the tragedy and find healing and hope within community.

And more that 400+ children, youth and adults have been creating community on campus during our Vacation Bible School.  They have been learning about the superpowers Christ gives us to live out our values in powerful ways.

Use your superpower of COMMUNITY to support our children, youth, and families this SUNDAY as we join for ONE SERVICE at 10AM in the Sanctuary.  Our children and youth will be leading worship and sharing all they have learned through story, song, and witness.

Wear your favorite bright superhero color and join us in supporting the 100 most vulnerable families at Maxey Elementary and Mollie Ray Elementary through our VBS food collection! By bringing items from the Food Donation List below, you can help rebuild the food pantries at our two Title 1 Partner Schools. Watch this video invitation from our students and get inspired to make a difference!
