The holidays can be a difficult time for those who’ve experienced the loss of a loved one, a divorce or separation, the loss of a job, cancer or illness that puts a question mark over the future, and a number of other human situations. Parties and festivities can be painful for many people in our congregation and community.
On December 18, St. Luke’s will offer a special time of reflection, hope, and healing at our Blue Christmas Worship Service at 4:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Come and join with us in sharing and hearing prayers, Scripture, and music that acknowledge that God’s presence is for those who mourn, for those who struggle – and that God’s Word comes to shine light into our darkness. Everyone, regardless of church background (or lack of it) is welcome.
