St. Luke’s is a proud annual sponsor of Come Out With Pride Orlando. Church ambassadors enjoy making new friends at the St. Luke’s booth and sharing God’s love by participating in the parade. For 2020, St. Luke’s pastors joined with congregation members and St. Luke’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Committee to participate in the COWP car parade. Thanks to everyone who helped make this socially distanced event possible!
St. Luke’s values acceptance and affirms that all persons are children of God and as such have sacred worth. Members of the LGBTQ+ community are a vital part of the St. Luke’s family serving in numerous leadership roles that support the ministries of St. Luke’s.
The church’s Open Arms LGBTQ+ group is a welcoming collection of St. Luke’s members who are either LGBTQ+ or allies. The group is currently meeting online regularly for fun events like virtual brunches and game nights. For more information about this group email St. Luke’s Director of Connect Ministries, Liz Vasquez.
St. Luke’s is committed to making room at the table for everyone so they have opportunities to use their gifts and to know they are valued and respected as beloved children of God. You can now worship with St. Luke’s online, Sundays at 9:30 a.m. EST on Facebook Live or on-campus Sundays at 11:15 a.m. (RSVP requested due to social distance seating).
