Two Big Red Buses will be at St. Luke’s on Sunday, June 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. near Building C. Donors age 16 who weigh at least 110 pounds may donate with parental consent. For youth age 17, no consent is needed. Photo ID required. Let’s fill both buses with appointments again!
All donors will receive a free COVID-19 antibody test and a free T-shirt. The antibody test is authorized by the FDA and will indicate if the donor’s immune system has produced antibodies to the virus, regardless of whether they ever showed symptoms. Donors’ results will be available within approximately 48 hours. In addition to donors learning if they have the antibody, OneBlood will be identifying additional people who can be COVID-19 convalescent plasma donors.
All donors will be asked to provide their cell phone number upon arrival so they can wait in their car or outside a Big Red Bus. Social distancing guidelines will be maintained. Donors will be called when it is their turn to donate blood. Contact the Care office with any questions.
