Join St. Luke’s Missions on Wednesday, September 16, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Founder’s Hall for a free screening of Jesus Was A Migrant, followed by a panel of speakers.

When the U.S. shut off the CBP One asylum appointment app in January 2025, approximately 270,000 migrants were left with no legal pathway forward. The people who cheered that decision and the people who showed up at the border to grieve it shared the same faith. Same Bible. Same God.

NYT bestselling author and historian Dr. Jemar Tisby traveled to the border to ask the question many have avoided: What does our faith actually require of us when it comes to migrants and asylum seekers?

The screening is free and open to the community. Please RSVP by clicking the button below to let us know you’ll be joining us (use the drop-down option to select “Free Film Screening Only” as the default selection will be for our Faith & Forks dinner)
