Hey St. Lukers, it is Pastor Melissa, Pastor Corey, and Saniye, Director of Missions Development, and we are at a justice conference this week. We are learning more about what it means to be present in our community and to listen and to understand what the needs of our community are, and to be able to advocate for that.
As you guys know, advocacy and justice have long been a part of our vision, and so this is the way we’re stepping further into that.
We’re so excited about this conference and what it means for us. You see, it’s connected to what we’ve been talking about this July month in this interdependent study series. And it’s what we’re talking about this Sunday as we close out the series. We’ll hear stories, really, parables from Jesus from Matthew 13 and- about the kingdom of God and what we’re seeing this week and really what St. Luke’s is all about is revealing the kingdom of God. And so we’re super excited for what God continues to do through each and every one of us and each and every puzzle piece. We hope to see you Sunday for worship. God bless you. Peace.
