A Note from Ms. Kelli and Ms. Jeni:

Hi St. Luke’s families!

Children’s Ministry has been busy with fellowship, learning, and serving.
Here is a look at what our kids have been up to:

Love In Action

We had our first Love In Action service night on Wednesday, September 16, bringing more than 60 children and adults of all generations together to serve side by side in partnership with Missions and Children’s Ministry. It was an amazing evening of learning how we can serve with dignity and make a difference at any age! Together, we made 50 birthday bags for residents of the Orlando Union Rescue Mission and 700 hygiene bags that were distributed through the Christian Service Center, where a team of St. Lukers serves lunch on the first Friday of each month.

Bible Presentations

Our kindergarten and fourth graders received their Bibles on Sunday, September 20, in both the Traditional and Contemporary Services. Pastor Corey, Ms. Kelli, and Ms. Jeni participated in the presentation. The congregation vowed to support them as they explore, ask questions, and grow in their faith.

Bible Buddies

Bible Buddies were chosen by all our kids in The Treehouse and The Nest on Sunday, September 27. Each kid got to choose their special buddy to help them read the Bible on a regular basis.

A Bible Reading Plan was given to all kindergarten thru 5th graders. The reading plan challenges kids to read a bible story/scripture once a week. If you complete this quarter’s plan and return your completed form, you’ll receive a popsicle party! Check out our Bible Reading Plan by clicking here.

The Nest

This month in The Nest, our Littles are learning through the Frolic curriculum, which is filled with hands-on, play-based experiences designed especially for young children. Through repetition, movement, sensory exploration, and lots of singing, children will begin to discover God’s love in ways that are meaningful for their age and stage of development.

During October, we’ll spend two weeks learning about Abraham and Sarah, exploring how God kept His promises, followed by two weeks learning about Jacob and Esau and God’s love for families. Through songs, stories, play, and simple activities, we’re helping our youngest children build a foundation of faith while having fun and engaging all their senses.

We love watching these Littles learn that God loves them, cares for them, and is always with them!

Rooted (Sunday Programming) at The Treehouse

On Sunday mornings, we’ve been diving into the book of Matthew, learning ways to describe Jesus, how our understanding of Jesus will grow throughout life, and what it looks like to follow Jesus. Through engaging worship, games, and small group, our kids are discovering how God’s Word applies to their everyday lives.

Branch Out (Wednesday Night Programming) at The Treehouse

We are continuing our Reel Moments series in The Treehouse using familiar movie clips and scripture. These next couple of weeks we will be diving into the Book of Corinthians as we learn acceptance through our gifts and others’ gifts, showing hospitality by taking care of each other, and building a community of love.

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers and parents for making these ministries thrive. We can’t wait to see your family this week!

With so much love,
Ms. Jeni and Ms. Kelli

Orange pumpkins are arranged on straw with text announcing St. Luke's Pumpkin Patch event on October 11th at 12:30 PM.

Pumpkins Are Coming!

Mark your calendars, folks, because on October 11 at 12:30 p.m. (until done!) a semi-truck FULL of pumpkins is rolling onto our campus, and we need all hands on deck to unload it. That’s right, thousands of pumpkins, one parking lot, and a whole lot of teamwork.

Many hands make light work (and honestly, it’s kind of a blast). Community service hours are available for students who need them, so bring your neighbor, your teammate, your friend, your third cousin, whoever! The more the merrier.

Sign-up is encouraged but not mandatory. Just show up ready to hustle, and maybe wear shoes you don’t mind getting a little pumpkin-y.

Want to volunteer in the Patch?

We need volunteers to welcome families and our community to our patch. Volunteers will also help with the selling of pumpkins and assisting people with whatever they need. Students can earn volunteer hours for helping at the patch. Families of all ages are also welcome to volunteer as long as an adult is present.

Whether you can give an hour or an afternoon, your time makes a huge difference. Sign up for one or more shifts and join us in making the patch a memorable experience for kids, families, and neighbors.

Fall Family Fun Night

Come celebrate fall with us here at St. Luke’s. Everyone is welcome to our FREE Fall Family Fun Night, so invite your friends, neighbors, and family.

Stop by our Trunk or Treat lane for some candy and join us for crafts, games, inflatables, food trucks, and more! If you would like to host a trunk for our Trunk or Treat lane, we would love to have you.

Bible Reading Plan Challenge – We have a challenge for our St. Luke’s Kids to read the Bible on a regular basis. A Bible Reading Plan has been created to help them. Families can print the plan, read the assigned scripture, and place a sticker/check mark once it is completed. Plans are accommodated for kindergarten, 1st-2nd, and 3rd-5th. Kindergarten plans are created so they can use their Celebrate Wonder Storybook Bible.

Kids that complete the Bible Reading Plan for this quarter (13 weeks) will receive a popsicle party on Sunday, January 10 after worship! Who will complete the challenge?!

Come play with us!

Babies, toddlers, and their caregivers are invited to enjoy age-appropriate toys, activities, and opportunities to build friendships. Join us each Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. for a fun and relaxed time of play, connection, and community!

Make a difference in 2026 by volunteering with us!

Our volunteers are the heart of what makes our programs fun, meaningful, and impactful. There are opportunities to serve on Sundays, Wednesday nights, and even behind the scenes during the week. Youth and adults are both welcome to be part of the fun! Let us know you’re interested by clicking the button below.
