Missions Newsletter – October 2026
Happy October, St. Luke’s Family!
September was a month of serving, connecting, and showing up for our community!
Love in Action began in September, a partnership with Missions and children’s ministry, showing that everyone can serve. We made 700 hygiene kits for our neighbors at Christian Service Center and 50 birthday bags for Orlando Union Rescue Mission. We were busy throughout the month, serving at Maxey’s International Night, building with West Orange Habitat for Humanity, and serving with Maxey’s Robotics team and Go Full Steam. We shared meals with Matthew’s Hope, Coalition for the Homeless, Circles West Orange, Jobs Partnership, and Orlando Union Rescue Missions
We came together to watch “Jesus was a Migrant” and heard from a panel of speakers representing local immigration organizations and movements. We got a visit from our Orange County Supervisor of Elections office for “Know Before You Vote” to prepare for upcoming elections. We welcomed back St. Lukers, who traveled to Zimbabwe with Zoe Empowers, and we celebrated Zebra Youth Coalition at their Open House.
September was a beautiful reminder of what happens when we put our faith into action. Thank you for continuing to serve, connect, and make a difference in our community!
Below are some things to look forward to in October and the months to come!
