Sounds of the Season: Annual Christmas Concert Event at St. Luke’s UMC
Each holiday season, St. Luke’s United Methodist Church brings together voices from across Central Florida for a powerful musical experience. At the heart of this cherished tradition is the Community Choir, a welcoming group of singers who unite to celebrate the spirit of Christmas through song.
The Community Choir is more than music – it’s a ministry of connection, celebration, and hope.
About the Community Choir
The Community Choir is open to all adult singers regardless of musical background. Whether you’ve sung in choirs for years or are stepping into this for the first time, there’s a place for you here. No auditions are required, just a love for music and a willingness to rehearse and perform with heart.
This choir forms the core of our seasonal production, performing a mix of:
Traditional Christmas carols
Contemporary worship songs
Orchestral collaborations
Uplifting seasonal medleys
Together, this group of over 100 voices creates a rich, joyful sound that fills our sanctuary and touches hearts.
Rehearsal Commitment
Rehearsals begin in the fall and run weekly through early December, leading up to several performances. We work hard but have fun doing it—building friendships, growing musically, and finding deeper meaning in the message of Christmas.
Rehearsals: Weekly evenings (day/time announced each year)
Location: Choir Room & Sanctuary
Performance Dates: December (specific dates vary)
