Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent—a season that invites us into the hard work of love, especially in times of change, uncertainty, and holy tension. In this reflective service of Scripture, prayer, and the imposition of ashes, we begin a journey of learning how to love as Jesus loves: with humility, courage, faithfulness, and trust in God’s transforming grace.
As we gather at the crossroads—between what has been and what is becoming—we come not with easy answers, but with open hearts, ready to practice a love that endures, centers the marginalized, resists domination, and remains faithful even when the way forward is unclear. All are welcome to come as you are and begin this Lenten journey together.
