Sleep in Heavenly Peace Build Day

Apr 25 @ 9:00am - Apr 25 @ 1:00pm
Location: Parking Lot

Did you know, close to 800,000 children in the U.S. don’t have a bed. These children end up sleeping on floors – sometimes without a mattress. A bed is a basic need for the physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing of a child.   SHP is a national organization answering the call to a national problem. They partner with organizations to build, assemble, and deliver top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need. NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!®

Our next Bed Build day is coming up on Saturday, April 25 where we will build 80 beds.

Date: Saturday, April 25

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (An earlier Pre-Build shift is also available from 7:30  a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and a Post-Build shift from 1:00-3:00 pm)

Location: St. Luke’s UMC front parking lot

No prior experience with tools or wood working is required.

Check out the video to see how these beds are built and delivered.

This workday will be outdoors and will consist of some heavy lifting and the usage of power tools. Please bring a filled water bottle, hat, and sunscreen. Wear closed-toe shoes, like sneakers or boots. If you’d like to bring your own protective eye gear or gloves you are welcome to do so. Gloves and tools will be provided.

This is a great opportunity for families and friends to serve together!
