The Math Bee started in one school and in one classroom 15 years ago in 2009 under the St. Luke’s Educational IMPACT Ministry. This year, 24 Title 1 schools in OCPS participated in Math Bee under Go Full STEAM (a non-profit launched out of St. Luke’s as an umbrella organization for four Missions programs that grow beyond the scope of St. Luke’s and now are serving under-resourced students county-wide).
Go Full STEAM used a unified approach through specific areas of interest to open new worlds of opportunity for students. Their goal is to influence children’s lives by developing literacy, competency and a positive sense of self.
Go Full STEAM is comprised of 4 programs, Robotics Challenge, Arts After 5, Artworks and Math Bee.
