When I moved to Central Florida and got involved at St. Luke’s, I was looking for places to connect with community. There was a bed build event sponsored by St. Luke’s , and I showed up. It turned out to be one of the best decisions that I have ever made.. I found the build that day to be very rewarding, and volunteered to help deliver beds . It was that day that I was hooked. The children at the home my team delivered beds to were so excited to each have a bed of their own! For me this was the start of being all in to help Sleep in Heavenly Peace thrive in Central Florida. I am now on our local core leadership team. We CAN make a difference so that “No kid sleeps on the floor in my town”.
