Being a Youth Leader seems like a huge responsibility, but one that comes with great rewards, both now and in the future. Youth Leaders serve as mentors and Grade Group (small group) Leaders for St. Luke’s Youth on Sunday and Wednesday Nights for either middle school or high
school students. Relationship building is big when it comes to Youth Ministry. As a Youth Leader, you’ll see that first-hand as students look to you for not only spiritual, but also moral guidance as well. You will also guide small groups in discussions about the week’s topic/lesson. (All lessons will be provided at least a week ahead of time.) This is a commitment of about 3 hours on Sunday or Wednesday Night (plus time on trips/events). Youth Leaders are the glue that keeps things
together, interacting with students and engaging in their lives in a powerful way. Students will look to you for support, encouragement and wisdom, and they will see your life as a living testimony to the love of Jesus as you serve this ministry. Spending time investing in these teens
is life giving, and it speaks in a powerful way to our students. Youth Leaders will be given all the tools needed (including yearly Youth Ministry Leadership Training) so that you feel empowered
and successful living into the vision of St. Luke’s and this ministry. This is a one-year commitment starting and ending each July, with the hope that you will want and feel called to move up with your group each year and truly be 1 of 5 adults in the life of our youth.

Needed: 12 volunteers per team on a weekly basis; team will grow as ministry grows
