Yoga Classes

Stillness and Stretch Yin Yoga: Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m., Building A, Room 201

Want to nourish your heart, mind, soul and improve strength? Quiet and candlelit, this class offers both physical and mental calming techniques. Participants sit or lie on the mat, with the use of support such as bolsters and blocks, and relax your muscles to experience a deep stretch which has tremendous healing effects. No experience or physical ability necessary, but you must be able to get up and down from the floor. This class is led one of our long-time members, Angie Winn. The class is Free for all, yet donations are welcomed, and will go to our Lofting Leaders Teen Program and to replenish any needed supplies. Please bring a mat, but we have some if needed. Mixed Levels Flow yoga: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 p,m., Building A, Room 201

This type of yoga links movement and breath to attain balance in the mind and body, and aligns a deliberate sequence of poses to achieve a continuous flow. It’s best described as a mixed level flow. This class is taught by Jack Crowe who’s been practicing yoga for over 25 years and teaching for the last five years. He’s experienced in teaching a variety of yoga classes including chair yoga, and just recently became certified to teach oncology yoga. Cost is $15 per class.
