Disney cast member and a St. Luker?
As we kick off 2025, we’re excited to share a new way for St. Lukers who are Disney cast members to continue supporting St Luke’s ministries.
Through the Disney Matching Gifts Program, The Walt Disney Company matches eligible charitable donations dollar-for-dollar, from $25 up to $25,000 per employee per calendar year. Here’s how to submit your request:
Here’s What You Need
- You must be an active Disney cast member
- Access to Disney Cast Life app or web
- To have donated to St. Luke’s in the past year in the amount of $25 up to $25,000
- Donation Details: Date, amount and receipt (if available)
How To Submit Your Disney Matching Gifts Request
- Make sure you have the information above available.
- Search “Employee Matching Gifts” on Disney Cast Life app or web.
- Select “Search for an organization”.
- Under “Organization” type “St Lukes” and select “ST LUKES UNITED METHODIST CHURCH AT WINDERMERE INC” by hitting “Select”
- Type in your match request information and fill out the form provided, then hit “Save and Proceed”. Continue to follow the instructions until you’ve submitted your request. Once you confirm the information is correct, select “Submit”.
- Celebrate! You’ve helped to double your gift to St. Luke’s!
- Send Andrea Whisnant-Burgis (awhisnant@st.lukes.org) a note letting her know that you have submitted the matching gift, and share supporting documentation for your submission so that we can easily confirm the gifts!
Did you know that your volunteer hours (with Disney VoluntEARS or other eligible charities) can be redeemed for Disney VoluntEARS Grants to eligible charities of your choice, including St. Luke’s?
Disney VoluntEARS can convert their time into a grant for an eligible charity of their choice, up to a total of $2,000 per employee, per year!
Search “Disney VoluntEARS” on Disney Cast Life app or web to find local volunteer opportunities! Online and in-person options make it easier than ever to give back. For a list of guidelines regarding personal volunteer service hours/what’s eligible, visit the Disney VoluntEARS site (Volunteering > Guidelines & Resources > Guidelines and Capped Hours).
Once you’ve logged more than one hour of volunteering, you’ll be eligible to redeem your hours for a Disney VoluntEARS Grant!

- You must be an active Disney cast member
- Access to Disney Cast Life app or web
- To have at least 1 hour of volunteering logged on Disney VoluntEARS Online
How To Submit Your Disney Matching Gifts Request
- Search “VoluntEARS Grants” on Disney Cast Life app or web.
- Select “Redeem Volunteer Hours”.
- On the next page, select “Redeem!”
- If you haven’t donated or selected St Luke’s before, select “Search for an organization”.
- Under “Organization” type “St Lukes” and select “ST LUKES UNITED METHODIST CHURCH AT WINDERMERE INC” by hitting “Select”.
- Type in the number of hours you’d like to redeem—each hour is a $10 donation. Continue through the form and select “Save and Proceed”. Once you confirm the information is correct, select “Submit”.
- Celebrate! You’ve helped to double your gift to St. Luke’s!

I make a regular donation. Can I submit a single match request, or do I need to submit a request for each donation?
Organizations must verify each match request, so aligning your request with the organization’s donation records will expedite the verification of your request and facilitate a timely match.
Are retirees eligible to participate in Disney VoluntEARS Grants or Matching Gifts?
Unfortunately, only eligible active employees can participate.
Which employees are eligible?
An eligible employee must be a regular full-time or part-time U.S.-based employee of The Walt Disney Company and its affiliates and subsidiaries who has completed 90 consecutive days of service with Disney.
