Ever wondered who actually does what in our government or how it all fits together? Join us on Sunday, May 3 for Civics for Change Makers: A Basic Guide to Government, a Lunch & Learn designed to take the confusion out of civics and give you a clear, accessible foundation for understanding how our government works. As people of faith, we are called to love our neighbors not only through service, but through informed and thoughtful engagement in the world around us. Understanding how our government works is one way we live out that calling.
Together, we’ll explore the structure and function of government, break down the roles and responsibilities of elected officials, and build a shared understanding of how decisions are made at the local, state, and national levels. We’ll also cover the essentials of voter education and awareness so you can approach upcoming elections with greater clarity and confidence.
Whether you’re brand new to civic engagement or just need a refresher, this session will equip you with the knowledge you need to be an informed, thoughtful participant in our democracy.
