Hey everyone! Happy Thursday! It’s me, Pastor Corey. I’m standing outside the Sanctuary. If you were here this past Sunday, you’ll recognize this as one of the two murals we had up on Sunday, the other being in the Welcome Hall.
If you look closely, it’s made up of puzzle pieces, reminding us of this current series we’re in: Interdependence.
As Pastor Jayde reminded us when we kicked off the series, we are all dependent upon God and dependent upon one another. Throughout this series, we’re slowly coloring in these puzzle pieces—this week, numbers one and two, and this upcoming Sunday, numbers three and four.
It’s a reminder that the more we depend upon God and one another, the more we’re able to reveal God’s vision—God’s Kingdom—for the world.
This Sunday, as we continue, we’ll look at a familiar parable: the Parable of the Sower from Matthew 13. This passage, and Jesus’ explanation of it, reminds us that we’re all dependent on each other to create the environment needed for growth, for following Christ, and for revealing His love throughout the world.
I hope you’ll all be here this Sunday as we continue relying on one another, relying upon God’s work among us, and as we continue filling in this puzzle, revealing God’s beautiful world all around us.
I love you all. God bless you. We’ll see you soon. Peace.
