We are in ministry with children - learning, discovering, worshipping, serving and most important growing together in our understanding of what it means to be a disciple.

VBS 2009 - Crocodile Dock a Huge Success!

Thanks for hopping on our flat-bottom boat and drifting through lazy, hazy waters under tall cypress trees as we learned and shared God's word with hundreds of children, youth and adults. Well, the nets and cypress trees are down, lily pads picked up and a few decorations here and there left on campus...VBS 2009 is behind us with lots of amazing stories. We made a difference!

We just got a sneak preview of next year's theme and it looks awesome! Are you ready to feel the spray on your face as sails snap overhead and you experience the deep, rolling waters of God's love! VBS 2010 - High Seas Adventures - Exploring the Mighty Love of God. We will learn that God's love is true, comforting, surprising, life-changing, and is for everyone!

Help us determine what next year looks like....We are currently forming our VBS Leadership team. We meet once in September and monthly starting in January 2010. We brainstorm decorating ideas, decide on the crafts, review notes from this year to improve on our program, and so much more. Please respond on the Kingdom Building portion of our website if you are interested.

The Children's Ministries space has been renamed GOD-O-SEA and we are finished with our renovation. We are excited! Mark your calendar for the dedication of our space - September 13, 2009 at the PowerHouse Worship Service in the Coleman Gym at 10:50 a.m.

If you stop by Buildings A and B you will see a flurry of activity as servant ministers are working on the renovation thanks to a gift to the BodyBuilding campaign. The team was charged with coming up with a theme and transforming the buildings into a fun, multifunctional space that is child-friendly and exciting. To find out what kids like, go to the source. The theme God-o-sea came as a suggestion from 7-year old Caroline Stiles Williams.

The first floor design brings the Bible to life with murals of Moses parting the waters, Noah's ark and a seaside resort on the Sea of Galilee. The upstairs gathering space will be turned into a cool surf shack and the hallways upstairs will help all surf the scriptures in a fun way. We welcome you to come stop by and take a peek.

	Summer Programs & Camps for Families Summertime can be busy with summer school, sports and family vacations.  Our hope is that this summer will be one of spiritual growth for children, adults and families. St. Luke’s staff and servant ministers are excited about all the possibilities this summer holds for our families. Check out what we have to offer.
	POWERHOUSE Worship for Children & Families Check out our new intergenerational worship service called POWERHOUSE geared specifically for children and families! Join us in the Coleman Memorial Gymnasium at 10:50 a.m. for a time of praising God through music, scripture, devotion, prayer stations, and communion.
	Childcare Childcare is provided specific days and times through the week. Reservations are required except during normal Sunday worship services.
	Programs for Children See the programs and ministries offered church-wide for children and their parents. And find one to get involved in!
	Merge Merge is a ministry for 5th and 6th graders to grow faithfully in fellowship with one another, to become spiritually grounded in order to face the turbulent years ahead, and to move from hearing the Word of God to living the Word of God.
	Ministry Volunteer Opportunities & Small Groups Sign up to Volunteer with Children's Ministries or sign-up for a Small Group/Class. Browse through the opportunities and sign-up through Kingdom Building.
	Child Development Center (CDC) The Child Development Center offers two different programs: the Parent's Day out and the Pre-School Classes. Both programs follow the Orange County Public School calendar.
	Upward Sports St. Luke's Upward program offers Basketball (winter), Cheerleading (winter), and Soccer (spring) for all ages four through sixth grade. Registration begins several months before the sports begin.
	Music Choirs & School of the Arts St. Luke's offers Children's Choir, WeeSingers and K Chorale for children and School of the Arts offers a number of instrument, dance and other art classes during the school year.
	MOPS: Mothers Of Pre-Schoolers MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is an exciting Christian program specially designed for mothers with children, infant through kindergarten.
	NexGen Ministries NexGen (Student) Ministries for youth from 6th to 12th grade. NexGen Ministries includes weekday programming and Sunday School during the school year and various trips and missions throughout the year.
	Parent Resources Resource area for parents that is updated quarterly with new information. This section includes devotions for children, parents and families.
