Youth

St. Luke’s Youth Ministries believes in the ACCEPTANCE of ALL! We welcome you with loving HOSPITALITY into our Christ-Centered COMMUNITY, so that together we can grow in DISCIPLESHIP and SERVICE to others.

We invite you to come and be a part of our weekly youth ministry programming here at St. Luke’s! We are excited to connect and engage with our youth and our adult leaders in Community, Worship, and Grade Groups. We want you to come and take part in all God is doing here as we continue to create a Christ-Centered group for middle and high school students where You Belong to Beloved Community, You Grow to Awaken Disciples, and You Serve to Reveal The Kingdom.

     @StLukesUMCYouth

Each week (August-May) after a time of connection and worship, we will break off into Grade Groups. There, we will have fun and dive deep as we engage in relevant discussions about faith and how it impacts our lives and those around us.

Our amazing team of adult leaders plays a vital part in this as we strive for authentic relationships and connection with our youth, leading to real “Be 1 of 5” discipleship and giving them a sense of belonging.

If you’d like to be a Grade Group Leader, a Connect Host (a new opportunity to serve and connect with our youth),
or another youth ministry volunteer opportunity,
please email Brandon at bsangster@st.lukes.org or Matt Estep at mestep@st.lukes.org.

All are welcome to join SUNDAES! This cool weekly way to connect will happen on Sundays at 2:00 p.m. (at local ice cream shops). Youth (and some of our adult leaders) will grab their favorite ice cream flavors and share in open discussion on matters of life in our world today, faith, music, theology, art, and more. Stay connected to our social media outlets and Remind for locations as they may change.

St. Luke’s Youth Programming

Sundays (6:00 – 8:00 p.m.), our High School Youth are welcome to join us in The Youth Center for Sunday Night HIGHPOINT (Youth Ministry Programming for High Schoolers)

HIGHPOINT will be all about real connection, thought-provoking messages, and deep discussion (split by Grade Groups and led by our team of Adult Leaders).

Please note: While High School programming is on Sunday nights, High School students wishing to attend on Wednesdays will have the opportunity to help lead younger children over in The Treehouse & youth in their small groups and rotations. Email Brandon Sangster at bsangster@st.lukes.org for more info about Youth Ministries. Email Lana Stevens at lstevens@st.lukes.org for more information on helping with Children’s Ministry.

Wednesdays (6:00PM – 8:00PM) we want to welcome our Middle School Youth to join us for Wednesday Night MIDPOINT (Youth Ministry Programming for Middle Schoolers)

Check-In at 6:00PM in The Youth Center for MIDPOINT which will be a time for connection, high-energy games, a message, and discussion (split by Grade Groups and led by our team of Adult Leaders).

Sunday Mornings at 9:30AM in The Youth Center, starting August 14.

Let’s chat about the week’s message over your favorite bowl of cereal (various kinds of cereal and milk options will be available). Both middle and high school youth are welcome to join.

High School Life Groups is something new we are starting this year and looking for leaders to connect with a group of high schoolers on a weekly basis outside of HIGHPOINT (our normal youth programming time). These groups will be/form various affinity-based communities and held in The Youth Center or a fitting public place. These groups will meet with a couple of adult leaders weekly for connection and discussion over some fun commonality — again, think youth affinity group. The leaders will schedule the day and time for their group.

Connect in a different way on Thursdays with THURSDAY CONNECT

STUDY SESSION – Come to The Youth Center for a space to study and do homework with friends! The Youth Center will be open from 2:30 until 5:30 every Thursday with free snacks, coffee, and hot chocolate!

DINNER CHECK-IN – Connect with friends and youth leaders over dinner at Burger-Fi (at The Grove across from St. Luke’s) from 6:15 until 7:30!

Info on more High School Life Groups will be shared as groups are formed.
