Janet Chambers started at St. Luke’s in 2004 as a Teacher for the Child Development Center, and before that volunteered as a Sunday School teacher, a VBS Leader, and part of the Children’s Ministry Leadership team. In 2012 she returned to St. Luke’s as Associate Director of Children’s Ministries. In 2014 she became the Director of Children’s Ministries. Janet’s Bachelor Degree in Family Community Sciences and Early Childhood Development and her Master’s Degree in Public Administration help her meet the needs of children and families on a variety of levels. Her previous work experience as a Head Start Director, Parenting Educator for the University of Florida, and Preschool Director for Middletown United Methodist Church have blessed her with a variety of encounters with all types of families. As Associate Director of Children’s Ministries, Janet worked with children from birth through fifth grade to help them GROW in their spiritual development. She now serves as the Director of St. Luke’s CDC.
Janet has two children, AJ and Ren, who she adores and admires for their own individual strengths and talents. In her spare time she enjoys the beach, traveling, and spending time with friends.
