Grace and Peace Beloved St. Lukers!

Last weekend was AMAZING! On Saturday, over 250 people gathered for the United Women in Faith’s annual Ladies’ Tea! It was a glorious afternoon of fancy dresses and outfits, ornately decorated tables, and fabulous entertainment, all to raise funds for St. Luke’s Missions. Then on Sunday, we had an amazing Fall Kickoff on campus! We had over 100 children in The Treehouse and PreK Sunday School, and hundreds of St. Lukers and families enjoyed BBQ, tacos, “Snoballs,” big blow-up games, obstacle courses, and fellowship together.

In worship, the Sanctuary Choir was back with passion and power from their summer hiatus, accompanied by a talented orchestra, and our Praise Team led us in beautiful ways through music. Hearts were filled with the Holy Spirit all morning long as we learned the first St. Luke’s 101 Lesson: Learn Grace. I hope each of you are continuing the journey of learning the transformative power of God’s Grace in Jesus Christ!

If you haven’t already signed up to join us for one of our new adult discipleship opportunities, there’s still time to dive in! Take a look below, there truly is something for everyone:

If you want to see the full list of opportunities for adults to grow in discipleship this fall, click here. And of course we have fun and enriching programs for children and youth on Sundays and Wednesdays as well, so we hope you will join us as we Learn, Live, Love, and Lead our lives together as a church family in new and powerful ways.

This weekend, Shelly and I take our eldest, Lleyton, back up to Nashville for his second year at Belmont University. It’s hard to believe that he’s an adult living so far away. And we know we couldn’t have raised him without you, St. Luke’s. You lived into your baptismal vows and ensured that VBS, Sunday School, Confirmation and Youth Ministry, Missions and serving opportunities, worship, and discipleship happened for him and thousands of other children. You did that, and you do that because you know that as disciples of Jesus Christ, as St. Lukers, we Live as Family – that is the second St. Luke’s 101 Lesson that we will be learning in worship this Sunday. We are all children of God and we must learn to live as family. I hope you will join us on Sunday, because it truly is not St. Luke’s without U.

Blessings,

Pastor Jad
