St. Luke’s has partnered with Coalition for the Homeless, providing hot meals each third Saturday of the month to people experiencing homelessness in Central Florida.
While the St. Luke’s UMC and Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida campuses have modified their activities in recent years, St. Luke’s continues to provide the ingredients for a monthly dinner. Your generous support to help make this possible is very much appreciated.
For our December holiday meal, we are continuing our brownie sundae dessert tradition. This month’s list includes chocolate syrup, whipped cream & LOTS more brownies. We’ll get the ice cream, but we need your help to make this special treat happen! Sundaes will be served with the shelter guest favorite-quiche & homemade vegetable soup – with much appreciated fresh fruit.
We prepare this menu during the holidays when hams for quiche are readily available & weather is cooler for soup. We’ll buy eggs, pie shells, & canned tomatoes in commercial size bulk. We need your support for the other ingredients & supplies.
Brownie mixes are available for pick up in the church office conference room.
The Coalition guests are truly grateful for the love shown them through a fresh, flavorful, healthy meal.
