I cannot thank you enough for your prayers and notes of encouragement and love over the last week. If you didn’t know, my father, Rev. Joe Stiles, passed away very unexpectedly last week in his sleep. We are grateful for such a peaceful passing for him, but we are greedy in our need to have had more time with him. And frankly, that’s what he taught us, to be greedy with our desire and love of family and friends. I am grateful for our staff who truly just took over everything so I could leave immediately to get to my mother. We had a small memorial service for Dad at their home church in Hartwell and we will have a Committal Celebration of his ashes here at St. Luke’s on November 26.
