A Note from Pastor Jenn-December 21, 2023

Dear St. Lukers,

You did an amazing job this week being tangible joy for the children and families of Maxey and Mollie Ray Elementary Schools. We collected over 450 Bags of Grace filled with food for families during the holiday break. What a gift of tangible hope, peace, and true joy you offered in Christ’s name. Thank you for your response! You can still sign up to help us welcome and serve our guests on campus for worship December 23 and 24, we would love to have you join us in being tangible joy in this special way. Click here to see all the volunteer opportunities available, all are welcome!

I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank our staff and amazing volunteers who have made this Advent season so special. From concerts to Coalition, Family Promise to children and youth events and parties, we have experienced the presence of Christ’s hope, peace, and joy that have changed people’s hearts and healed people’s souls. All of this is rooted in each of you living into our core values of Christ-centered love as you have shown acceptance, hospitality, discipleship, and service through your generosity and servanthood. Thank you so much for all you have given to touch people’s lives this season in many ways.

This Sunday we will light the candle of love and welcome the birth of our Savior – Emmanuel, God with us, at eight worship services starting on December 23. We hope you will not only make your plans to join us, but also invite someone in your life to be our guest at one of those services. You can find the full schedule of service times (on campus and online), childcare offerings, and more details by clicking here. It will be a time of carols, candles, and considering what it means to receive the birth of Christ and let Him grow within us. We can’t wait to see you, welcoming those who are returning to family and friends for the holidays, and to see your face in the glow of Christ’s light, because it’s not Christmas Eve at St. Luke’s without U.

With anticipation and joy,

Jenn.
